Where are my memories stored?
AmicoDay first stores companion details, memories, and photos inside the app container on this iPhone. If you have an active AmicoDay Pro entitlement, are signed in to an available iCloud account, and enable iCloud Sync, content is also synchronized to your private Apple CloudKit database.
What should I do if iCloud Sync does not finish?
- Confirm that the iPhone is signed in to an available iCloud account.
- Confirm network access and an active AmicoDay Pro entitlement.
- Open Settings → Privacy & Local Data in AmicoDay and confirm that iCloud Sync is on.
- If the screen offers Retry, tap it once and wait for the status to update.
- Do not remove the app during syncing; preserve the local data on the device.
If the problem continues, include the displayed status when contacting support, but do not send private memory content.
How do I restore an AmicoDay Pro purchase?
Open Settings → Subscription in AmicoDay and choose Restore Purchases. Confirm that the device uses the Apple Account that made the original purchase. Apple handles purchases, renewals, refunds, and subscription status; AmicoDay does not receive your card information.
How do I begin without an existing companion?
From the empty Companion or Family screen, choose to add a companion, explicitly select dog or cat, and enter a name. The first companion does not require Pro.
How do I restore an archived memory?
Open Settings → Archived Memories, open the memory, and choose Restore. Archive is reversible hiding, not permanent deletion.
Can I export or permanently delete data?
The current release has no in-app bulk export or physical deletion tool. Removing the app generally removes its local data from that device, but Apple system backups and iCloud content are controlled by Apple and your settings. Turning off AmicoDay iCloud Sync does not automatically delete existing iCloud content.
Before removing the app or iCloud data, confirm that important memories have an acceptable backup. See the Privacy Policy for details.
What should I do if a photo is missing?
Confirm that the original still opens in Apple Photos and try selecting the photo again for a new attachment. If an existing memory opens but its thumbnail is missing, preserve the memory and contact support. Editing can append new photos but does not currently remove or replace existing photos.
Privacy reminder
AmicoDay has no website sign-in. Support staff cannot remotely view memories stored locally or in your private CloudKit database. Do not email pet-health notes, private journal text, original photos, Apple Account passwords, verification codes, or payment credentials.
